Terms of Service
Laundry Express
Effective Date: 1 November 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Laundry Express.
These Terms of Service govern the use of our laundry services and website. By subscribing to our services, making a payment, or using our laundry collection and delivery service, you agree to these terms.
Laundry Express provides laundry services to boarding school students, including washing, ironing, and scheduled collection and delivery.
Please read these terms carefully before subscribing.
2. Our Services
Laundry Express provides a monthly laundry package designed to make laundry care more convenient for boarding students.
Our standard monthly package includes:
Washing
Ironing
Weekly laundry collection every Friday.
Delivery of cleaned and ironed clothes every Monday.
The package costs GH₵350 per student per month and covers four scheduled service cycles per month.
Our services are available to eligible students at participating schools, subject to the arrangements agreed upon with each school.
3. Eligibility and Subscriptions
Parents and guardians may subscribe to the service for their children through our website or other authorised subscription channels.
The service is particularly encouraged for final-year students but may also be available to students in other year groups at participating schools.
Participation is voluntary. Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether the service is appropriate for their children.
A subscription becomes active once the applicable payment has been successfully completed and confirmed.
4. Payments and Subscription Periods
The monthly subscription fee is GH₵350 per student.
Payment must be completed by the first day of the month for which the subscription is intended.
For example:
November 2026 subscription: payment due by 1 November 2026.
December 2026 subscription: payment due by 1 December 2026.
Subsequent months: payment due by the first day of the relevant month.
Parents and guardians may pay for multiple children in one transaction, where supported by the available payment process. They may also pay for multiple subscription months in advance.
Each child's subscription and the relevant payment period must be correctly identified to avoid errors.
Laundry Express reserves the right to delay activation of a subscription until payment has been received and verified.
5. Weekly Laundry Limit
Each subscribed student may submit a maximum of 30 items per weekly collection under the standard package.
Items exceeding the weekly limit will attract an additional charge of GH₵100 per extra item.
For example, if a student submits 33 items, the three additional items will attract a total surcharge of GH₵300.
Additional-item charges must be settled in accordance with the payment arrangements communicated by Laundry Express.
Laundry Express may decline to process excess items where the applicable additional charges have not been accepted or paid.
6. Collection and Delivery
The standard service schedule is:
Friday: Collection of students' laundry.
Monday: Delivery of cleaned and ironed laundry.
Students are responsible for preparing and handing over their laundry at the designated collection point and within the applicable collection arrangements.
Laundry Express will make reasonable efforts to adhere to the published schedule. However, unforeseen circumstances, operational disruptions, school activities, public holidays, or other events beyond our reasonable control may occasionally affect collection or delivery times.
Where a significant delay occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate the change and arrange an appropriate alternative.
The package covers four scheduled service cycles per month. An additional collection or delivery is not automatically included in months with five Fridays.
7. Student Responsibilities
Students using the service are expected to:
Submit their laundry at the designated collection point and time.
Stay within the 30-item weekly limit unless additional items have been accepted under the excess-item policy.
Separate or identify garments requiring special care, where applicable.
Avoid including valuables, money, jewellery, electronic devices, or other non-laundry items in their laundry.
Report missing, damaged, or incorrectly returned items promptly.
Parents and guardians should ensure that their children understand and follow these requirements.
8. Garment Care and Special Items
Laundry Express will take reasonable care when handling garments during washing, ironing, and delivery.
Customers should identify delicate garments, special washing requirements, or items that require particular handling before collection.
We reserve the right to decline items that cannot reasonably be processed using our available equipment, methods, or facilities, or that may pose a risk to other garments.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, specialised services such as dry cleaning, stain removal, repairs, and treatment of particularly delicate garments are not included in the standard package.
9. Lost, Damaged, or Missing Items
Customers should inspect returned laundry and report missing, damaged, or incorrectly returned items to Laundry Express as soon as reasonably possible.
Reports should include the student's name, the relevant collection or delivery date, and a description of the item concerned.
We will investigate reported issues and work towards a fair resolution based on the circumstances and applicable law.
Any compensation or other remedy will be determined in accordance with the findings of the investigation, our applicable policies, and legal obligations.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
10. Missed Collections and Deliveries
Students should ensure that their laundry is ready at the designated collection point on Friday.
If a student misses a scheduled collection, the laundry may be carried over to the next scheduled collection, subject to operational arrangements. Missed collections do not automatically entitle the subscriber to an additional service cycle, an extension, or a refund.
If a student is unavailable to receive laundry on Monday, the student or parent should notify Laundry Express promptly so that an alternative arrangement can be considered.
Any alternative collection or delivery arrangement is subject to availability and may incur an additional charge if communicated and agreed upon in advance.
11. Cancellations, Refunds, and Changes
Laundry Express operates on a one-time payment basis. The monthly subscription fee of GH₵350 must be paid separately for each month a customer wishes to use the service. Payments do not automatically renew, and customers are not required to commit to multiple months.
Parents and guardians may choose whether to subscribe each month. If you no longer wish to use our services, you may simply choose not to make payment for the following month. No cancellation fee will apply for discontinuing future subscriptions.
Refund Policy
All payments cover the specified subscription month and its associated laundry services. Once a subscription has been paid for, refunds for unused service cycles are not generally provided if a customer chooses to discontinue using the service during that month.
However, where Laundry Express is unable to provide a paid service, refund requests will be considered fairly and handled in accordance with applicable law.
Nothing in this policy limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.12. Service Interruptions and Unforeseen Circumstances
Laundry Express will make reasonable efforts to provide its services according to the advertised schedule.
However, circumstances such as severe weather, equipment failure, transport disruptions, school closures, public emergencies, or other events beyond our reasonable control may affect operations.
Where possible, we will notify affected subscribers and communicate any revised arrangements.
We will handle payments and any undelivered services in accordance with these terms and applicable law.
